Unfortunately we do not accept late applications, or applications submitted through emails. We receive many applicants and have to be fair to those who applied at the right time. All of our content will be available online on program page and our YouTube channel.

Application Instructions

The school is designed for students with a background in machine learning. Applications are welcome from around the world, with a special focus on candidates from the MENA region.

Registration Fees

Students (MSc, PhD): 100 USD
Postdoc / faculty: 250 USD
Industry: 400 USD*

Please note that the application process prioritizes students. Industry professionals are encouraged to explore company sponsorship opportunities. If you are interested in representing your company at the event, consider becoming a sponsor. Contact the organizers at sponsorship@mena.ml.

What are the fees used for?

Conference
Food: 6-day breakfast, lunch and dinner at the conference venue
Social events

Travel and accommodation costs are not covered.

Scholarships

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and offer a limited number of scholarships. If you are interested in a registration fee, travel, or accommodation scholarship, please mention this in your application form. All requests will be considered.

Certificate

Certificates will be issued to attendees who request them after the 2026 MenaML Winter School.

Review Process

The MenaML review process follows a double-blinded review; the reviewers don't have access to any of your personal information or if you have applied for scholarships, the reviewers have access only to the answers you have given to the questions.

Each application is reviewed by more than one reviewer. The selection criteria are a multi-objective and constraint optimization problem based on normalized and corrected reviewers' scores.

The objectives are outlined in the application: technical background, community engagement, and the personal motivation regarding the MENA region. All of the criteria are subject to constraints that ensure fair and equitable representation from across the MENA region.
